As any regular retail pharmacists knows when you see a prescription coming from the "teaching" hospital clinic you know to run. I primarily feel sorry for the unknowing victims, the patient. I have created a list of the top 5 reasons medical residents should not be allowed to write prescriptons.
1. Ambien comes in more strengths than just CR.
2. We (the world in general) don't know who you are and you are nothing with out
you're attending--print your name and your attending and your DEA where a normal
human could read it.
3. You still can't write Percocet and IBU on the same rx blank.
4. I know it can be extra tedious but you still need to sign the prescription before you sent
it off with the victim, I mean patient.
5. EPOCRATES, EPOCRATES, EPOCRATES--it's a FREE download to a palm that gives
all drug monographs to give the residents helpful information so we don't have to keep
calling about drugs/strengths that DO NOT exist.
